We pick you up at the hotel in the morning to leave Phuket with our guide who will take care of and provide you information. When the bus crosses Sarasin Bridge Phang Nga Province, you can feel the lifestyle of the local communities and their livings as well as the scenery of mountains, rubber and palm which are economic plants around the area. Take a short break for a cup of coffee while enjoying beautiful scenery at Khao Lak. Khao Lak has been hit by Tsunami. Now, there is no mark of damage but only the painful memory of the tragedy. As well as good memory of people who give help to others without discrimination to class, color, nation and religious such like “one world together”.
We then take you to Suratthani where the evergreen forest of Khoa Sok National Park is located. While we are on the mountainous and wonderful route, you will see the self-sufficiency lifestyle of the local people which makes us feel envy. Arrive at Khaosok for an excited Excited Elephant Bathing Program, you can enjoy giving the elephant a refreshing bath, where you can scrub them, play with them and, get on their back without saddle (approximately 20 minutes). After the bathing, you can buy some bananas to feed the elephants to show your appreciation if you wish.
We lead you to The Raft Hose by longtail boat During the boat trip you will be wondered with the very wide water ground of emerald and blue colours. It is very beautiful like you are in the ocean until you forget that you are really in the dam. The nature surrounding you will be very beautiful while the trees on the mountains and islands are waving along the wind like they are welcoming their visitors. After you store your luggage, you can enjoy swimming , self ayaking and dinner. At night you will be enjoying your night under the light of stars, while watching and imaging the shadow of the trees and listening to the singing of insects, breathing in the scent of forest and embraced by the forest.
We will take you by long tail boat to enjoy early morning safari, you might be lucky to see various kinds of wild animal drinking water or seeking for some foods at the banks. After the adventure we will take you back to the raft house for breakfast. After breakfast, Hopped on Longtail Boat for a short trip (1.5 km.) to cross the 500 Rai Lake juggle for bamboo rafting. You can meet enchanting plants, flower, butterfly, birds, squirrels, reptiles, etc. a waited for your discovery, then getting on the bamboo raft to cross the 500 rai lake to an amazing cave. The stalagmites have a similar shape to coral which is how the cave came to be named (Easy access for children but be careful for the slippery wet floor). Spend 30 minutes cave exploring (a small cave but great formations).
After the adventure, we will take you to the accommodation for lunch and prepare for the leaving with the pleasant memory. If you have some spare time, please take a visit to the dam. There are many unseen things in Thailand.

As every individual walking this Earth is different, we cannot generally suggest one specific tour for families or couples. However, we have tried to give you some guidelines in our tour session.
Khaosok Discovery Adventure Tours are run all year round. Please note that we are based in Khao Sok, one of Thailand’s wettest areas, with about 3,500mm rainfall per annum, so it can rain any day of the year. Vice versa, the sun may shine any day of the year. Please understand that rain usually falls heavily in showers during one or two hours – and thanks to the temperatures not dropping below 25°C during daytime this is usually a very pleasant experience.
Monsoon Season, or Green Season, as we like to call it, officially starts in May and ends around October. This is the perfect time to travel: Temperatures drop slightly to a comfortable 25-32°C during daytime, nature shines up in a lush green, and the chances of spotting wildlife increase dramatically.
As especially May, June, September and October are not super popular months for most of our clients to travel due to being summer/early autumn in their home countries, you may strike some surprisingly good deals and enjoy a more intimate experience, as guest numbers are on average lower.
Khaosok Discovery, local operator with Thai signature, welcomes any open-minded traveler from anywhere on this world, with the very vast majority of our guests coming from Europe, Australia, New Zealand and North America.
To place your booking, please simply choose your tour and follow the intuitive booking process. Should you have any questions or queries, please feel free to contact us.
We offer day trips to any of our Khaosok Discovery Adventure. In order to offer an intimate elephant riding or bathing encounter with small groups, we suggest you to choose our day trip program from tour session. Besides, we recommend staying overnight in a tented camps in the rainforest of Khaosok is an experience you certainly won’t forget too soon.
Please bring non-slip shoes like sturdy sandals or trainers, loose comfortable clothes, sun protection (disposable raincoats are available on every van, but we would like to encourage you to bring a re-usable one with you to save the environment), swim wear for use at in the river or lake. Please also remember to bring your passport for the check in process.
Khao Sok is not a typical malaria area, and usually free of malaria. However, we always advise to consult a tropical doctor before traveling to Thailand.

Despite this common myth, elephants are not at all intimidated or scared by little mice but the mice can annoy them.
Asian elephants consume up to 200kg of food a day, the intake of African elephants can even exceed this. Their diet is strictly vegetarian, and they spend 16-18 hours a day looking for food rather sleeping!
In spite of many people believing elephants would crave for peanuts, we cannot verify this. Our elephants much prefer sweet fruit like bananas, pineapples or water melon.
Elephants are pregnant for 20-22 months, which is the longest gestation period of any living creature on this planet! They usually give birth to one single calf; the chance of having twins is about 1%. Babies weigh between 80-100kg at birth, and are breast-fed for approximately 3 years!
African elephants (Loxodonta Africana) and Asian elephants (Elephas maximus) are different animal species, and cannot interbreed.
